Fourth Leaf Chenin Blanc made its debut with the 2016 vintage. In the expanse of Napa Valley, only 14 acres total are planted to Chenin Blanc. We are fortunate to source a small amount of this rare fruit from sites we have studied closely.

There is a certain symmetry in our choice of these two varietals. Not only did our grandfathers take the lead in making Napa Valley synonymous with premium Cabernet Sauvignon, one of their earliest success, Chenin Blanc, first put Mondavi wines in demand in the 1950s.

Rob and Angelina have fond childhood memories of warm Napa Valley summer days punctuated by the presence of their grandfathers. We were both introduced to the pleasures of wine with cool sips of Chenin Blanc in the afternoon heat. This nostalgia for something treasured once upon a time is what we recapture in Fourth Leaf Chenin Blanc, a wine that brings our family together again.
